Ballet East Presents Arabian Nights

Aladdin, a street rat and a "diamond in the rough" is the only person who can enter the Cave of Wonders to retrieve the magical lamp for the dark Sorceress who serves as advisor to the Queen. Aladdin becomes trapped in the Cave of Wonders with his sidekick, Abu and is guided by the precious gems to discover the resident of the lamp. Aladdin develops a relationship with the Genie and uses his wishes to become a prince to chase the affections of the beautiful and kind-hearted Princess Jasmine. When the evil Sorceress realizes that the new suitor for the princess is actually the street rat Aladdin, she reveals his true identity and he is left to fight for Jasmine's attention with the knowledge of his upbringing.

*Please note, Arabian Nights will be the Second Act of this performance. Act I will open the performance with a mixed repertoire with original works created by the Ballet East Faculty.

Ballet East Presents Cinderella 2018 - Film by Heidi Kafer - Music by Hans Zimmer

Each season Ballet East hosts two full-school productions, one in December and one in June. Students enrolled in the Children’s and Pre-Professional Division are invited to participate in these performances.

The semi-annual productions provides an opportunity for family and friends to witness a fully costumed and produced student production. Students from Primary through Pre-Professional levels will perform selections choreographed to display classical ballet technique, contemporary and character work. The program will also feature a mixed repertoire of select works from the 2018/19 Ballet East Youth Ensemble. Guests are and prospective students are encouraged to attend for educational and entertainment purposes.

This Season, Ballet East will be participating in a community outreach program that will provide various organizations with discounted tickets.
